Using this site

These terms govern your use of rootworth.org, which is operated by Nat Sol Inc. ("Rootworth," "we," "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

This site is not medical advice

Everything published here — the Chambers, the Journal, the condition pages, the formula discussions — is general education about classical Chinese medicine. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for care from your own physician or licensed provider. Do not start, stop, or change any medication or treatment because of something you read here.

No practitioner–patient relationship until an intake is accepted

Reading the site, emailing us, or starting an intake form does not by itself create a practitioner–patient relationship. That relationship begins only when we accept your intake, confirm that you are eligible for care, and agree to work with you. Until then, nothing we publish or reply to should be treated as personal clinical advice.

Not for emergencies

This site and our intake are not monitored for urgent problems. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the United States.

Where we can practice

Rootworth's telehealth consultations are available to residents of California. We cannot evaluate, consult with, or prescribe for people located outside the states where our practitioner is licensed to practise. If you are outside California, you are welcome to read the site, but we may decline your intake.

Herbal products

Rootworth herbal preparations are dietary supplements. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Classical Chinese medicine pattern assessment — naming a constitutional pattern such as Kidney Jing depletion or Liver Qi stagnation — is distinct from diagnosing or treating disease as defined under United States federal law.

Herbs are not inert. Tell us what medications and supplements you take, and keep your physician informed about any herbal programme you begin. Do not take a formula prepared for someone else.

No guarantee of outcome

Classical herbal medicine is practised case by case, and individual results vary. Nothing on this site, in an intake, or in a consultation is a promise, guarantee, or warranty of any particular clinical result.

Intellectual property

The text, images, illustrations, design, and code on rootworth.org belong to Nat Sol Inc. or are used with permission. You may read, print, and share links for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing, scraping at scale, or using this material to train a commercial model is not permitted without written consent.

Third-party links and services

Our intake is hosted by AcuBliss, and some pages link to other sites. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control them. Follow a link and you leave our site and enter theirs.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nat Sol Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or from reliance on the general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under California law, including liability for the professional services we actually provide to a patient we have accepted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means the revised terms apply.
