Rootworth

Real medicine has roots.

The great oak — Rootworth

Custom herbal formulas — and a movement to take medicine back.

Rootworth is two practices held in one breath. On one hand, it is medicine: custom Chinese herbal formulas, prepared in the classical lineage that has been keeping the receipts for two thousand years. On the other, it is a movement: a refusal of the billing-code system that has replaced reading the patient with running the script.

The thesis is in the name. Medicine that works comes from somewhere. Plants have roots that draw from earth. Lineages have roots that draw from centuries of clinical observation. Practitioners have roots in the relationships they have built with the people who come to them. When you trade roots for synthesis, you trade medicine for product.

Real medicine has roots. The heart has a voice.

Pills vs herbs — Rootworth

WE BELIEVE

  1. Real medicine has roots.
  2. The body is not a market.
  3. Symptoms are messengers.
  4. The script is broken.
  5. Plants, not patents.
  6. Practitioners, not algorithms.
  7. Patients, not market segments.
  8. The heart has a voice.
  9. Speak from it.

If those nine lines land in you, you are already part of this. The work from here is to bring the practice into your life — through the chambers, through intake, through the small daily act of speaking up for what you love.
