Your formula
How to take your herbal granule formula.
Taking your granule formula correctly makes a real difference in both how well it works and how comfortably your body adjusts to it. Please read through this once before you begin, and keep it handy for the first week.
How to prepare and take each dose.
- Mix your rounded scoops into a small amount of water. Room temperature is perfectly fine, or you can use warm or hot water — letting the granules steep a moment helps them dissolve more fully.
- The volume of water doesn’t matter much. What matters is taking the full dose within a short window, so it lands as one effective activation dose rather than being sipped and diluted across the whole day.
- Prefer it less bitter? You can stir in a little honey, or mix the granules into a spoonful of applesauce. Please do not mix them into juice or coffee.
- If you’d rather encapsulate them, that’s fine too — just measure how many capsules equal one scoop first, so you can match your dose accurately as we make changes.
- Take each dose on a relatively empty stomach, at least 30 minutes away from food.
Above all: consistency matters more than anything else. Taking your formula regularly, day in and day out, is what produces results.
The first 3–5 days — start low and build.
We begin gently so your body has time to adjust. The goal in this first stretch is simple: nothing dramatic, just a smooth settling in.
- Days 1–2: 3 rounded scoops, 1–2 times per day
- Days 3–5: work up toward 4 scoops, 2 times per day — this is the normal starting dose
Give it a few days. Your body may take 2–3 days to adjust to a new formula. If your digestion has been sluggish or stuck, you may notice your system clearing out over the first several days — this is normal and usually a good sign.
Once you’re comfortable.
If you’re tolerating the formula well — see below for what we’re looking for — you can gradually build up to 4–6 scoops, 2–3 times per day. There’s no need to rush to the top of that range as long as things continue to feel good.
What we’re looking for — your green light to continue or increase.
- Regular, comfortable bowel movements
- Steady energy and a stable body temperature — not running unusually hot or cold
- Gradual, steady improvement in the concerns we’re working on
- No new or worsening symptoms
If something feels off.
If you notice loose stools, bloating, nausea, feeling overly warm or cold, or anything that simply doesn’t sit right — hold at your current dose, or step back to the last amount that felt comfortable, and let me know. These formulas are meant to be tailored to you, and small course-corrections are a normal, expected part of getting the dose right.
Staying on track.
Everyone responds a little differently, so we track your response and fine-tune as we go. When you’re ready for a check-in or your next formula, complete a quick herbal re-exam at Rootworth.org — it lets me see your progress, review any changes, and adjust your formula accordingly.
