Constituent Voices — Vision
The words — and the scans — of people whose eyes were given a formula instead of a forecast.
What these are — and what they are not.
Everything on this page is real. The words belong to constituents who agreed, in writing, to let them be shared. The scans are their own optical coherence tomography reports, with every identifying mark removed. Nothing here is composed, composited, or paraphrased into a better story than the one the person told.
That makes this page the opposite of our Eye Case Histories. Those are de-identified composite illustrations — teaching constructs built to show how a pattern stack is read. These are not illustrations. They are voices.
They come from the practitioner’s classical practice over more than a decade — people who were handed a diagnosis, a prognosis, and very little else, and who chose to add classical Chinese herbal medicine to the care they were already receiving. They kept their ophthalmologists. They kept their scans. The scans are why some of these voices can be measured rather than merely heard.
Stabilization is the usual outcome. For most chronic, degenerative conditions of the eye — macular degeneration, glaucoma, the slow retinal changes of diabetes — the realistic aim of a well-read formula is to slow or hold the decline. A retina that stops getting worse is the common result, and it is the one we consider a success.
The measurable improvements shown below are the stronger end of what has been observed. They are here because they were documented, not because they are typical. Individual experiences with herbal medicine vary; what one constitution does with a formula, another may not.
One retina, one year apart.
A constituent with a pigment epithelial detachment — fluid lifting the retinal pigment layer beneath the macula — had the same Cirrus OCT device read both eyes in consecutive years. The instrument’s own change-analysis report compares the two visits. The elevation under the macula measurably decreased.
In the constituent’s words: “My eye is healing — the swelling under my retina has measurably gone down since starting treatment.” Shared with permission.
In their own words.
Quotes are reproduced as given, lightly trimmed for length and with any identifying detail removed. Each is labeled with the condition the constituent named. None has been rewritten to sound better than it did.

Why the Spleen shows up in an eye page.
Readers of the case histories will notice a theme repeated in these voices: the formula changed, and the eye followed. That is not coincidence. A formula written for the retina is delivered through digestion. When the constitution that receives it is read correctly — when the Spleen can transform what it is given and the Liver can carry it upward — the eye receives what was intended for it. When it is not, the best-written formula arrives at a closed door.
This is why every intake begins below the eye. It is also why the quotes above so often mention a doctor’s confirmation rather than a feeling: the constituents kept their scans, and the scans kept the score.
A note on these voices and on these statements.
